The leader of Beijing Vocational College of Agriculture visits Lentiz

On Friday, September 20th, the Party Secretary-General of the Beijing Vocational College of Agriculture (BVCA), Mr. Zhou Zhicheng, visited the Lentiz Education Group. During his visit to the Lentiz headquarters in Vlaardingen, he signed two agreements with the Chairman of Lentiz Education Group, Mr. Rick van Dam.

Last year, the President of BVCA, Mr. Fan Shuangxi, along with three other leaders, visited the Lentiz Education Group in Vlaardingen and the WHC. This year, Mr. Zhou, accompanied by three more leaders, returned to reinforce the importance they place on their partnership with Lentiz.

Since 2009, BVCA and Lentiz have enjoyed a fruitful collaboration, with BVCA being Lentiz’s first partner school in China. Over the years, the two institutions have facilitated numerous exchanges of students and teachers. Several groups of BVCA teachers and students have received training from Lentiz in the Westland region. In 2014, with the support of the Chinese business community and the government, BVCA established the China Urban Modern Agricultural Vocational Education Group. This group comprises approximately 40 Chinese colleges and 100 companies. Lentiz is the only foreign institution involved, a unique membership that grants us significant prestige in China. It is an honor for Lentiz to hold the vice-chairmanship of the China Modern Agricultural Vocational Education Group.

Representing this educational group, BVCA and Lentiz have successfully organized the Sino-Dutch Agricultural Vocational Education Forum five times. Last year, we organized the first Sino-Dutch Flower Arrangement Competition, in which 12 schools participated. This year, the competition will take place in Shanghai, with over 15 schools from various regions in China, as well as Lentiz, participating in October.

In the coming years, Lentiz will continue to invest in its collaboration with BVCA to further enhance the quality of education at both institutions. Our goal is to make education more appealing to both students and teachers and to inspire students to pursue careers in the agricultural sector.
