Lentiz Make Horticulture Knowledge Work
Strengthening Organizations - BTEC program - tailored to local conditions
The BTEC program is a work-related course. The curriculum of BTEC is designed and updated based on the knowledge and skills required by industry and employers. The interactive instruction allows students to demonstrate the learning outcomes required by the curriculum through the completion of career-related assignment. It can be tailored to local conditions. Therefore, it really reflects the characteristics of vocational education. The introduction of the BTEC program to those institutions in the project has been recommended by Nuffic.
Experience with institutions in Jordan and Iraq
Since Lentiz is an accredited BTEC Center by Edexcel, it is our honor to introduce the BTEC program and share important experience with various institutions in Jordan and Iraq. Last week the director of Lentiz International Projects, Mr. Frits Veltkamp and the coordinator of Lentiz International Projects, Mrs. Li Zeng visited Jordan to introduce the BTEC program to AL-BALQA Applied University and Eco-Consult.
Al-BALQA Applied University and Lentiz work together
They started the introduction about Edexcel, described the features of BTEC program and demonstrated the features of the BTEC syllabus. They also discussed various possibilities with key persons in the organizations. Finally, Eco-consult is considering a cooperation with another institution in Jordan to set up a BTEC center with support from Lentiz. Al-BALQA Applied University has agreed with Lentiz to work together to implement some courses that are certified by BTEC and to develop courses related to the BTEC horticulture for international clients. Therefore, further cooperation is expected.
